Located in the San Diego and Carlsbad areas, the Center for DermaGraphics, Inc. specializes in offering an array of cosmetic services to assist you in keeping your skin, face, hands, legs and spirit all looking and feeling as youthful and beautiful as possible.

The owner and sole provider of these services is Barbara E. McCoy.  She is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with degrees in nursing, anesthesia, and health care administration and exercise physiology.  She received her training in permanent cosmetics in San Diego 11 years ago and has been managing her business and practice ever since.  She works with a broad cross-section of the population including many burn victims and breast cancer patients.  Having worked in academia for over 25 years, she has been a leader in educating the public, physicians and surgeons about this specialty.  She is an active member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and is a past member of the Society of Nurse Legal Expert Witness.  She is ACLS (acute life support) and BLS (basic life support) certified. 

By combining her background in medicine, skin care and art, Barbara is able to apply her technical and artistic skills to her work providing her clients with lasting and natural looking results.  She designs natural, hair-stroke appearing eyebrows that are designed for each individual‚ facial morphology (shape), beautiful eyeliners that can be subtle or more dramatic emphasizing the eyes, and the enhancement of lips by adding more color and definition to the line and shape.

Barbara is respected and well regarded in San Diego by both medical fields of dermatology and plastic surgery and receives many client referrals from them.  In addition, many of her clients from the past 11 years have referred friends and family members to her for their cosmetic need.

While maintaining a high level of professionalism, customer safety, privacy and service, the Center for DermaGraphics meets with clients in a state-of-the-art and pleasant environment.  When you first arrive, you will be greeted by a friendly and courteous staff and asked to fill out some paperwork.  You will then meet with Barbara for your complimentary consultation where all of your questions will be answered and explanations given. If you have had your consultation and are there for your procedure, you will then sign consent forms, have your photo taken and then be given some sort of anesthesia for comfort during your tattooing procedure. You will find that it will be a very comfortable and relaxing experience and that you will be able to drive and continue on with your normal activities immediately afterward.
